E-Payments Routing Directory Complete Data File To Be Removed From FRBservices.orgSM December 9, 2018

You are receiving this email because you recently completed our online form indicating that your institution currently downloads the E-Payments Routing Directory data from Please read through this entire email for critical information that impacts you and your bank or credit union.
On December 9, 2018, the complete E-Payments Routing Directory data files, including Fedwire® and FedACH® Participant files, will no longer be publicly available on due to increased misuse of the data. The individual Search Fedwire and FedACH RDFI Participants lookup will remain.

How do I continue receiving E-Payments Routing Directory data?
After December 9, 2018, you will no longer be able to manually download the E-Payments Routing Directory data. To receive the complete data files after December 9, 2018, you must contact the bank or credit union that you use to facilitate your ACH and wire payments as soon as possible to request an E-Payments Routing Directory download code. 

What is an E-Payments Routing Directory download code?
An E-Payments Routing Directory download code is your authorization key to retrieve the complete E-Payments Routing Directory data files on an automated basis. Your technical staff can automate the download of the complete data file by creating a script that includes the download code. After December 9, 2018, the only way for non-banking institutions to retrieve the E-Payments Routing Directory is through automation.

A cover letter template is available to assist you with contacting your bank or credit union to request an E-Payments Routing Directory download code. 

A Quick Start Guide for Non-Banking Institutions will be provided to you by your bank or credit union to answer your questions about how to automate retrieving E-Payments Routing Directory data. Your bank or credit union will require you to enter into an agreement that governs your use of the directory data and download code.
